Justin Wolfers is both one of the most data-friendly economists out there and one of the most accessible explainers of that data. His work brilliantly captures the ways that economics affects every aspect of our lives, from law and political economy to social policy, behavioral economics, and labor economics.

He speaks on all of these subjects with the same unmistakable insight and verve readers will recognize from his engaging columns for Bloomberg View, The New York Times, and the Freakonomics blog. Justin is also a commentator for public radio's Marketplace program.

Justin is a Senior Fellow of the Brookings Institution as well as editor of the Brookings Papers on Economic Activity. He is a Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. Justin is also a Research Associate with the National Bureau of Economic Research; a Research Fellow with the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn; a Research Affiliate with the Centre for Economic Policy Research in London; an International Research Fellow with the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, and a Fellow of the CESifo, in Munich.

Professor Wolfers is a Professor of Economics and a Professor of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. He was previously a visiting professor at Princeton, an Associate Professor at Wharton, an Assistant Professor at Stanford Graduate School of Business, and an economist with the Reserve Bank of Australia. He is a popular teacher with many awards to his name.
