Warren Valdmanis leads a social impact fund that invests in the American workforce with the focus on corporate social responsibility. He was previously a managing director with Bain Capital's social impact fund, and before that worked with Bain Capital's private equity team for over a decade in Australia, Chile, France, Hong Kong, Japan, South Africa, and the United States.

Valdmanis and co-author, Michael O’Leary’s book, Accountable: The Rise of Citizen Capitalism, offers a pragmatic and original view on how to transform capitalism into a system that's more inclusive, sustainable, and just. By combining compelling examples and analytical insights, O’Leary and Valdmanis cut through the tired dogma of current economic thinking to reveal a hopeful truth: If we can make our corporations accountable to a deeper purpose, we can make capitalism both prosperous and good. Likely to spark controversy among cynics and dreamers alike, this book is essential reading for anyone with a stake in reforming capitalism — which means all of us.

Previously Warren Valdmanis was the Managing Director of the Bain Capital Double Impact fund. With a goal of creating value for diverse stakeholders, he was focused on investing with three themes of impact: Sustainability, Health & Wellness, Community Building. Warren and his team sought financial and impact growth for their partner companies solving critical problems through sustainable business models.

Valdmanis joined Bain Capital Double Impact in 2017 after working for the firm’s private equity business for over 11 years. During his tenure with Bain Capital Private Equity, Valdmanis spent five years in Asia and Australia, where he helped to extend the Asia Fund’s capabilities and opened the Bain Capital Sydney office. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Valdmanis was a Manager at Bain & Company covering a wide variety of industries across Bain & Company's North American, European, and South African operations, with a particular focus on Private Equity clients.

Mr. Valdmanis received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA cum laude in Economics from Dartmouth College.
