
Mehran Gul
Author, 'The New Geography of Innovation' | A Fulbright Scholar, Fox International Fellow, and Teaching Fellow
Mehran Gul is the author of The New Geography of Innovation which charts the rise of new tech companies around the world. It is based on an essay which won the Financial Times/McKinseyBracken Bower Prize, and an FT Best Book of the Year selection. It is published by Simon &Schuster in the US and William Collins in the UK.
He has been a Lead for the Digital Transformation of Industries at the World Economic Forum in Geneva and an Expert on Higher Education, Entrepreneurship, and Industrial Policy at the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation in Vienna.
Mehran attended graduate school at Yale and was a Fulbright scholar, Fox International Fellow, and Teaching Fellow. His undergrad was at the Lahore University of Management Sciences. He is a visiting scholar at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhiand a Fellow with the Acumen Fund.
He has spoken at many events such as, the World Economic Forum, The Economist Innovation Summit, Financial Times Innovation Dialogues, Open Innovations Forum Moscow, Digital Government Exchange Singapore, World Government Summit Dubai, the European Commission and other major events and institutions.
